Micheál Byrne set up the company in September 2007.  This was due to a lack of understanding and ability in the construction industry for the purposes of passive house at the time.  Micheál was building a house for his parents and wanted to have a comfortable, healthy and low maintenance house for them to live in.  He carried out extensive research and decided to go for the ‘passive house concept’.  The company first built a show house in Rathangan, County Kildare.  This is the same venue that the ‘open days’ and ‘courses’ are held at.  The company now offers its ‘services’ in the United Kingdom and Germany.
